Technology: Camera-Motion-Sensitive System EyeCon/Frieder Weiß; digitally granulated Samples of Speech and Music (PD Programming), Eight-Channel Sound System, morphing Image Manipulation in combination with EyeCon-Steuerung A single sentence, spoken in the correct chronological sequence, is not only subdivided into the individual words but also into infinitely small particles. The dancer uses her movements to control the speech, or rather what is left of it. On this virtual stage, body language becomes sound, words, traces of words, and fragments of sound. The dancer functions like a slow-motion film, making the particles of speech visible through her body language and then physically recomposing it. In a second, autonomous part the dancer rummages about in a Mozart aria, whirls up the granulated sound and forms it into new spheres, while she dances between projected image structures that created a spatial effect. Following a number of phases of work at the Goethe Institute in Prague, at the theater laboratory of the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden, and at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), the final production stages will be completed at the Forum Neues Musiktheater of the Staatsoper Stuttgart and a public performance offered.
