Emily Fernandez is a media performance and installation artist. She was born in Melbourne, Australia. At the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater in Schwerin she was engaged as a solo dancer, and she also participated as a freelancer in projects with Carlos Cortizo, phase7, and the Palindrome Intermedia Performance Group. She developed her own choreographic works and media installations, which have been shown at CYNETart in Dresden, the Blaue Nacht in Nuremberg, and the Monaco Dance Festival, among other places.
In 2004 she participated in Delusions and in 2005 in Talking Bodies at the Forum Neues Musiktheater.
