Composer

Born in Rome in 1963. Studied composition and electronic music. In 1996 she was invited by IRCAM (Paris) for its annual computer music event. From 1994 to 1997 she studied with Gerard Grisey in Paris and later with Salvatore Sciarrino. She has received commissions for compositions from the WDR, the Wittener Tage für Neue Musik, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, and the SWR. Numerous prizes, including the Foundation-Nadia-Boulanger prize (Paris) in 1997, the Foundation-Des-Treilles prize (Paris), the Dimitri-Mitropulos- International-Competition-Prize (Athens), and grants from the Akademie Schloss Solitude (Stuttgart) and the DAAD (Berlin, 2004).
