Video Designer

Born in Hanau in 1969. Studied set and costume design with Jürgen Rose in Stuttgart. From 1994–2002, video and graphic designer for the Wooster Group in New York. Stage and dance video projects at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg and the Schauspielhaus in Bochum as well as for Essen’s Ruhrtriennale, William Forsythe and the Frankfurt Ballet (Kammer/Kammer, Decreation) Sasha Waltz (insideout, Schaubühne Berlin), and Wanda Golonka (An Antigone, Katakomben, Schauspiel Frankfurt). In 2004, premiere of his dance film NEGATION based on An Antigone at the Schauspiel Frankfurt. Since 2003 he has worked as an artistic collaborator for the Forum Neues Musiktheater, where he did the video design for Im Spiegel wohnen by Andreas Breitscheid. Onstage video for Peter Konwitschny’s Zauberflöte and Luk Perceval’s Tristan und Isolde at the Stuttgarter Staatsoper. In 2003, performance of his theater piece a m a at the festival Les Grandes Traversées at the Bordeaux Opera. Has taught at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart, the Performing Garage, and the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Intermediate School in New York. In 2004 Voyeur by Jörg Mainka at Forum Neues Musiktheater.
