Filippo Gianinetti studied at the Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Verdi in Milan and at the Musikhochschule Luzern. He held a first desk in the orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali. With the Ensemble Novecentoeoltre he performed at the Biennale di Venezia, at the Festival Internazionale di Brescia e Bergamo, and in the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Since 2001 he has worked with the Ensemble Risognanze, with which he has performed at various festivals and recorded Salvatore Sciarrino’s opera Luci mie traditrici for the Stradivarius label, a recording that received a Choc de la Musique award from the magazine Le Monde de la Musique. He participated in Il cielo sulla terra at the Forum Neues Musiktheater in 2006.
