Paolo Fumagalli studied violin at the Conservatorio musicale G. Cantelli in Novara and at the Conservatorio di Musica G. Nicolini in Piacenza. As a chamber musician he has performed at various Italian festivals. Together with other musicians he founded the MDI Ensemble in 2002, with which he has performed as a guest of several festivals and had his international debut at the Konzerthaus Dortmund in 2006. He is the first violinist of the Orchestra Luigi Cherubini under the direction of Riccardo Muti and teaches violin and viola at the Musical Centre Nobili in San Zeno . He participated in Il cielo sulla terra at the Forum Neues Musiktheater in 2006.
