back    Hubert Steiner Guitarist Hubert Steiner (b. 1973) studied guitar at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg with Jürgen Ruck. Since 1998 is lecturer for guitar at the Universität Würzburg. Hubert Steiner is a regular guest of the Ensemble Kontraste (Nuremberg), the Ensemble aisthesis (Heidelberg), the Klangforum Wien, the Ensemble Modern (Frankfurt), and at the opera houses in Stuttgart, Darmstadt, and Wiesbaden. Hubert Steiner is a founding member of the Ensemble ascolta in Stuttgart. He has recorded for a number of radio and CD productions, including music by Anton Webern, Giacinto Scelsi, and Olga Neuwirth. As a soloist Hubert Steiner has concentrated on contemporary music but Classical and Romantic works are frequently found on his programs as well. Since autumn 2002 he has been an adjunct lecturer at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg. 2006 in Hans Thomalla's fremd at Forum Neues Musiktheater.
