This years workshop focuses on the creative possibilities of the new sound techniques. It is intended for sound engineers, directors, artistic directors, composers, musicians, and other creative people from the fields of theater, opera, and ballet, to interested parties from worlds of business, industry, trade fairs, film and sound production, and the general public. A variety of presentations will be offered over a three-day period, but the events can also be attended separately.

An overview of design possibilities, applications, and technical background (open workshop, preregistration requested).
Employees from IRCAM, the company sonic emotion, and the Forum Neues Musiktheater of the Staatsoper Stuttgart offer an overview of the most recent developments in wave-field synthesis, demonstrating practical applications using mixes of music, noise, and radio plays, and are available for specific questions. The lectures will be in German and English.
